Real Arkansas Wedding: Pitts - Lay

Today it is my pleasure to share with you the rustic and so very romantic wedding of Anna Pitts to Michael Lay. This was an extra fun post for me to write because not only do I have the pleasure of knowing both the bride and the groom, but we also shared a wedding date - May 14th.  Anna is one lucky girl because her sister is none other than Jessica Kersey from Finishing Touch Event Design.  Together they created a vintage wonderland with an array of mismatched pieces, antique silver and blooms in soft hues.  Their vows were said on the family farm in Hartford while incorporating Anna's two daughters in every way possible.  All this loveliness was documented beautifully by Shannon Walker of A Moment Captured Photography.

And because their story is sweet as can be, here's a little snippet from Jessica herself:

 Anna and Michael met years ago as kids. They dated in high school, and then went their separate ways. Michael never got over Anna and always held onto the hope that they'd one day reunite. And they did, just 2 years ago. They were engaged 4 months later and tied the knot just last month! As their pastor said during the ceremony "I've never seen a happier groom!"

One of the cutest and more unique parts of the day was the "family first look". After Anna and Michael saw each other for the first time that day Anna's two beautiful daughters, Annaston & Lydia, wanted to do a "first look" of their own too! So Anna and Michael made their way back to the house and did their "family first look" with the girls. It was absolutely adorable!
